Resolute Photonics is a consultancy and an R&D design company, which designs and develops electro-optic subsystems primarily based around photonic integrated circuits (PICs) targeting a variety of diverse applications including WDM switching networks for hyperscale and AI, disaggregated quantum communication, gas sensing and space communication. WDM switching in AI and hyperscale networks – Resolute Photonics is developing a range of vertically electro-optically pluggable PIC subsystems called Dynamic Inline Pluggable Photonics Subsystems (DIPPS), which it is also standardising in the IEC. Gas sensing – we are developing advanced portable low-power, low-cost PIC gas sensing modules, in which neuromorphic networks and AI are deployed to enhance detection of a range of gasses including carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide. Space comms – We are also developing transceiver subassemblies for intra-satellite communication within low Earth orbit satellites. Quantum – We have developed DIPPS for quantum PICs and demonstrated a disaggregated quantum communication network.
