REACT is a Ј6M+ UKRI-supported Green Economy Centre established in October 2024. It is a collaborative research programme bringing together the expertise of four leading organisations: the University of Glasgow, the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University, and the Compound Semiconductor Applications Catapult. REACT (Responsible Electronics and Circular Technologies) accelerates the transition to more sustainable semiconductor technologies by developing ТgreenУ solutions across the electronics value chain. Its research spans advanced materials, energy-efficient design approaches, circular manufacturing processes, and technologies for material recovery and reuse. By integrating expertise in materials science, semiconductor manufacturing, and circular economy innovation, REACT aims to establish a leading Centre for Green Electronics Solutions in Scotland, supporting sustainable technologies, circular innovation in the semiconductor sector, and the creation of high-value jobs.
