The Integrated Photonics Group focuses on advancing heterogeneous integration (HI) tools and methods to enable large-scale, active photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for applications spanning communications, quantum technologies, sensing, imaging, and photonic computing. Their long-term vision is to establish scalable, manufacturable UK capability in complex PIC systems, bridging fundamental research through to exploitation and industrial deployment.
