About University of Glasgow – CSI

The Communications, Sensing and Imaging (CSI) group at the University of Glasgow is a leading research hub advancing next-generation wireless communications, intelligent sensing, and AI-driven imaging technologies. Our core strengths lie in integrating software-defined radios, AI-enabled network optimization, and advanced radar and sensing systems to address real-world challenges in IoT, 5G/6G, and healthcare monitoring. CSI uniquely combines theoretical rigor with experimental validation through large-scale testbeds and collaborative platforms, enabling rapid translation from concept to deployment. We hold specialized expertise in AI-assisted system design, adaptive sensing, and multi-modal imaging, supported by strong IP in network intelligence algorithms and programmable RF systems. Strategically positioned within the UK and EU research landscape, CSI contributes to critical technology areas including next-generation communications, smart sensing, and AI-augmented electronic systems, delivering solutions that enhance connectivity, automation, and situational awareness across industry and society.

Open for R&D and collaborations

The CSI group is actively seeking research collaborations, joint development projects, and applied R&D partnerships with industry, government, and other academic organisations. Areas of interest include AI-enabled wireless communications, intelligent sensing, radar and imaging systems, IoT integration, and testbed-based prototyping. Collaborations may involve co-design of experimental systems, algorithm development, and pilot demonstrators, leveraging CSI‰ЫЄs lab infrastructure and technical expertise.
