About University of Glasgow – DeepNano

DeepNano Group is based at the University of Glasgow and led by Prof. Vihar Georgiev. It is part of the Glasgow Computational Engineering Centre (GCEC).

The group focuses on developing advanced simulation methods and tools for modelling electronic devices, combining analytical, numerical, and machine learning approaches. Its work includes the development of a quantum-based TCAD simulator that accounts for statistical variability and defects. The group has also created in-house analytical and numerical codes, contributing to simulations of biosensors, current transport in inorganic molecules, Josephson junctions, physical unclonable functions, and molecular flash memories.

DeepNano collaborates with leading industrial and research organisations worldwide, including IBM, STMicroelectronics, IMEC, Synopsys, and Synopsys QuantumATK. It also partners with academic groups across the UK, USA, China, South Korea, India, Japan, and Europe. The group supports open science and welcomes collaboration with researchers interested in its work.
