Based around core technologies in thin film optical & metal coatings, our services address a range of innovation challenges in a wide variety of sectors including automotive, defence, biomedical, quantum, telecoms, LIDAR, gas sensing, PICs & display. Back-end-of-line processing for III-V semiconductor laser, SLED & sensor devices from wafer level to tested, singulated chips constitutes our main business. Optical thin film AR, HR & filter coatings for laser facets & optics such as lenses, mirrors & windows complement our offering along with silicon photonics processing. Our materials facilitate designs from UV to FIR wavelengths. E-beam, sputter, IBS & thermal evaporation deposition systems are used in conjunction with our photolithography, grind/polish, cleave & metrology equipment. Helia-built robotic inspection, test & load platforms boost our volume manufacturing capabilities. Since 2002, Helia has provided agile design & manufacturing services from volume production to R&D levels for commercial & academic organisations across the world.
